Pieter Janszoon Saenredam - “Interior of the Sint-Odulphuskerk in Assendelft”, 1649
Art reproduction on canvas in an “Elina” frame
In this version, Pieter Janszoon Saenredam’s “Interior of the Sint-Odulphuskerk in Assendelft” from 1649 appears as a tranquil depiction of a clearly structured church interior. The painting depicts the architecture not as ostentatious, but in calm order: light-coloured walls, slender pillars and precise lines define the effect. Saenredam, a 17th-century Dutch painter, became particularly renowned for his church interiors, in which precision, light and a sense of space create an unusually understated atmosphere.
The reproduction measures 61 × 40 cm and is executed on Leonardo (Satin) canvas. The satin finish faithfully reproduces the subtle tonal gradations, the clear planes and the architectural lines. The motif is mounted on a stretcher frame and continues in a mirrored pattern at the sides, giving the edges of the picture a seamless appearance.
The work is framed by the classic “Elina” decorative frame in brown and gold. With a width of 15 mm and a height of 14 mm, the frame remains slim and unobtrusive. A hook-and-eye hanging system discreetly completes the design.
