On some hot summer days, a canopy of leaves proves to be a real blessing, keeping out the burning sun. It feels like standing under a natural umbrella, generously provided by nature in a variety of shades of green. In the past, this was the only protection people had from the sun, especially if they had no headgear to hand. The relief of being under the shade of a tree was immeasurable. In the heat of summer, a whole new world opens up under a tree. You can literally feel how cool and refreshing it is in the microclimate under the leaves. The moisture that evaporates from the leaves benefits you and creates a pleasant coolness that you would never experience under an ordinary umbrella.
