Paul Cézanne - “The Plain of Bellevue / The Red Earth”
Art reproduction on canvas in a “Sinead” frame
Cézanne’s “The Plain of Bellevue” appears quiet at first glance: a stretch of countryside, red earth, light-coloured areas, trees and houses in the distance. Yet the longer one looks, the less casual it all seems. Cézanne organises nature not by mood, but by weight. The fields lie in the picture like solid patches of colour, the hills hold the space together, and even the houses seem more built than painted. It is precisely this calm rigour that makes him so important to modern art. In Cézanne’s work, the landscape does not become a view, but a construction of colour, form and perspective.
The reproduction measures 59 × 48 cm and is executed on Salvador (Matt) canvas. The matt surface complements the earthy tones and the clearly defined areas of the motif well. The painting is mounted on a stretcher frame and continues in a mirrored pattern along the sides, so that the edges appear seamless.
The “Sinead” frame in oak veneer echoes the natural, understated colour scheme. Measuring 15 mm wide and 30 mm high, it remains slim yet clearly prominent. A peg-and-hook hanging system completes the design.
