Contemporary Arts
Only on all islands in Oceania are the monumental stone heads of Easter Island, called MOAI. But the Vogelmann cult is also unique, the origin of which is unknown. A subordinate had to bring the first tern egg from the small Moto Nui rock through the haunted sea to Easter Island. His master then became Vogelmann for a year. The egg shape of the picture symbolizes this egg with which the cult was inextricably linked. The Vogelmann is made using a technique that was often used in sacred domes in the Renaissance. The bird man's head and neck are made of ebony, which invisibly merges seamlessly into the painted body. He holds the mammoth ivory egg in his hand. The mother-of-pearl star is an allusion to religious painting, which often depicted the star of Bethlehem in this form. This is an indication of the religious connection to the old Vogelmann cult on Rapanui.

The marginal signs of the Rongorongo system are to be understood as symbols for the star navigation, which pointed the bird man's star to the zenith above Easter Island.

It is an old story. That's why I used an artistic / handcrafted secret method to apply tin-crackling to the tin foil, which is known to be created on oil paintings after many centuries. In this way, statements about the content of such technical gadgets can be clarified. In the original the Vogelmann can hardly be recognized as a rock engraving on Easter Island. Unfortunately, this affects all petroglyphs, because air pollution with acid rain does not stop at this small island in the Pacific.
