Vincenzo Maria Coronelli was a Venetian Franciscan, cartographer, cosmographer, and publisher whose work fused Baroque imagination with scientific precision. Amidst the bustling canals and vibrant intellectual life of 17th-century Venice, Coronelli developed a passion for cartography that would make him one of the most important globe makers of his era.
