I am a self-taught artist and develop my paintings intuitively from lines, shapes and interflowing structures. There is usually no predetermined subject at the outset – it emerges during the painting process.nMy works lie somewhere between abstraction and fantasy. Figures and shapes are not always immediately recognisable and deliberately leave room for different perceptions and individual interpretations. The striking black lines act as boundaries, yet at the same time connect the individual elements.nIn my art, I explore perception, connectedness, change and the question of how differently reality can be viewed. I am particularly interested in the moment when something familiar emerges from seemingly abstract forms – only to change again when viewed from a different angle.nMy paintings are not intended as definitive answers, but as an invitation to look more closely and discover one’s own perception.
