This work is part of a series of four paintings entitled "Hommage au frère Jérôme". The works in this series are inspired by paintings I created for a solo exhibition in 1986, and this time they are on canvases measuring 40.6 cm x 50.8 cm (16 in. x 20 in.). In 1986, the painter Hildegarde (Audette Lemieux) wrote in my Livre d'or: "What a pleasant culture shock! Powerful gesture and filaments of gentleness", while André Giguère wrote: "Thank you to the artist for reminding us of the gesture that dances and sings".
