A firework of shine and gold is the Katja decorative frame in baroque style - and that on a proud frame width of 58 mm. Not only the play of colors, but also the many ornaments make Katja a noble piece of art that is second to none. Even with the surface technology, the makers pulled several aces from their sleeves: the primer with a red patina gives Katja a time-honored look. Occasionally, the underground patina shimmers through the gold laid over it, which forms the base of the frame. Furthermore, the silver color shines just as shiny as the gold color. This in turn adorns the many ornaments, so that they stand out not only by their carvings, but also by the special silver sheen. The wide outer frame part is littered with baroque elements made of lilies and angel wings, all of which are embedded in a filigree gold-colored wooden strip. The conclusion to the inside of the picture is formed by another thin bar, which consists of closely spaced balls - it closes the frame like a small chain and thus merges into the painting itself. According to the frame, this may also originate from the Baroque - a Rubens or Rembrandt lives up to the frame. |
